The Center has been commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs to manage the Secretariat of the Japan Consortium for International Cooperation in Cultural Heritage, a base organization established to facilitate collaboration among Japanese experts and institutions from diverse fields related to international cooperation on the protection of cultural heritage. While promoting the building of networks and the sharing of information among its members、the Consortium also conducts activities for dissemination, raising of public awareness and study of international cooperation activities in matters related to cultural heritage.
