We conduct transfer and share of knowledge and technique on conservation.
Japanese paper conservation is a key theme because people are interested in Japanese paper conservation materials and techniques. Now conservators recognize that Japanese paper is good conservation material not only for Japanese items but also for others. Actually, many conservators use Japanese paper. However, it is difficult for oversea conservators to get accurate knowledge.
Through the courses and workshops, we transfer and share Japanese methodology and materials. We promote the construction of a network of conservators.
