A warm welcome to a new colleague of the Center

TOMODA Masahiko (Director of JCICC】, Elise RENAUD CHARPENTIER (Intern)

We welcome an intern this coming July. Ms. Elise Renaud Charpentier has studied at the graduate school of Waseda University as an exchange student from Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Paris la Villette (ENSAPLV). As a part of her study in Japan, she has a wish to be involved in practical work for architectural conservation, and she joins the Center as an intern for the month of July.

During her internship, she will assist in research about international relations on heritage conservation, and with the cooperation of organizations and experts in architectural conservation, experience various on-site activities such as awareness programs, architectural surveys, restoration and renovation work, and property management. We expect her to deepen her understanding of Japan's insights and efforts for the protection of architectural heritage.
