



Collecting and analyzing information about trends in systems and policies related to the protection of cultural heritage on the international scene is essential in considering the future of Japan's own system for the protection of cultural properties as well as in the actual implementation of international cooperation within the field of cultural heritage. Symposia and other meetings are held in cooperation with experts and institutions of different countries to promote the active exchange of information and to broaden the network of international cooperation.
