Report on Registered Tangible Cultural Properties Designation Submitted

On May 19, the Council for Cultural Affairs (Commissioner: NISHIHARA Suzuko) submitted a report on 116 structures across 23 prefectures to be designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties to SHIONOYA Ryū, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The list included the Clock Tower of Kwansai Gakuin University (Nishinomiya City, Hyōgo Prefecture), designed by the American architect William Merrell Vories. This brought the total number of Registered Tangible Cultural Properties to 7,628. (Japanese)
