Asahi Prize Recipients Announced

The recipients of the Asahi Prize for the fiscal year 2016 (sponsored by the Asahi Shimbun Foundation) were announced. In relation to art, art historian TSUJI Nobuo received the prize for ‘his significant contribution to the history of Japanese art, including reappraisal of “eccentric artists”’, while manga artist HAGIO Moto received the prize for ‘her innovation in manga expression and creating activities over many years’.
