Asahi Prize Recipients Announced

On January 1, the recipients of the Asahi Prize for fiscal year 2008 (sponsored by the Asahi Shimbun Foundation) were announced. In relation to art, manga artist MIZUKI Shigeru received the prize for ‘his contribution to manga culture through a wide range of creative works themed yōkai and war.’ (Japanese)
