TOBUNKENNEWS is a quarterly news flash of a more public nature, selected from among various research activities and related news items.

年鑑

Yearbook of Japanese Art has been published
since 1936. It provides an annual overview of the
art world in Japan.

美術研究

The Bijutsu Kenkyu (The Journal of Art Studies) has been published since 1932. It carries monograms, research materials, commentaries on plates and other information pertaining not only to Japanese and East Asian art but also to Western art related to modern and contemporary Japanese art.

Geino no Kagaku (Performing Arts Studies) is a journal that presents the results of the research into Japanese traditional music, dance, theater and folk performing arts. It has been published since 1972 to 2005, and replaced by the Research and Reports on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

無形文化遺産研究報告

Research and Reports on Intangible Cultural Heritage has been published since 2006 by the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It contains academic papers, research reports and translations of classic documents into modern Japanese. The articles are availabe as PDF files from the website of the Department.
