Study of Documents of Yamaguchi Sagi-ryu Kyogen, in the Collection of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage
The Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage held an annual public lecture at the Heiseikan of the Tokyo National Museum on October 22nd (2012). The lecture dealt with recordings of the Sagi-ryu Kyogen Song for Dance, among materials in the Department’s collection.
Some of the recordings were played for the audience in between talks by the invited performer, The asosiation of Sagi-ryu Kyogen presavation.
The lecture and perfomance were well-received by 200 or more participants. An overview of the lecture, including interesting stories told by Takakuwa Izumi in her talks, is presented in the Reseach and Reports on Intangible Cultural Heritage, Vol. 7.
