Seminar on Conservation of Asian Cultural Heritage

It is a workshop by and for experts from Asian countries. The participants make their presentation about current situation and problems on protection of cultural properties in individual countries and discuss them. Since 2001 experts from nine countries including Japan have been doing research on "Public Systems for the Protection of Cultural Heritage: the evolving role of cultural heritage" aiming to (i) set up a new concept for protecting cultural properties and (ii) build up rigid partnership for cooperation through mutual understandings of each protection system.
