Each country has unique policy or system for protection of cultural property. Our Center does research on the systems for protection of cultural property to collect information for conducting conservation and restoration projects of cultural property in cooperating with foreign or international organizations. We provide the information to other organizations or specialists.
For this purpose the Center organizes workshops on the foreign systems for protection of cultural property. We hope we can establish the base for the international activity through the exchange of information about the laws, organizations and its functions for the protection of cultural property.
The workshops are held irregularly at the time the Center invites foreign researchers.
(Each researcher makes his/her presentation in the mother tongue with Japanese translation.)
