"Danjugao" written by Hanzhon Zhiren
The library collects many of woodblock-printed books published during the Edo period, including some Japanese reproductions of Chinese rare old books that are extinct in China. Danjugao, an anthology of poetries composed by Hanzhong Zhiren (1309-1382), a late Yuan Zen monk, was published in 1664 as a reproduction of its Japanese Gozan-print version. It is identified as a fragment of Chinese past already lost, reflecting an authentic context of literary association between the literati and Zen monks in the late Yuan dynasty period.
