じ種類の組積造に対して異なる手法の効果を比較し、建物の力学的基準（mechanical criteria）向上のための検討をしています。を高める要素を付加する補強方法です。20年前にはステンレス棒によって補強されていましたが、今日はより適切な細いFRPの棒や帯を用いています。目地の補強（スライド72-74）他にも注目すべき補強手法があります。一般的な目地材を用いた組積造建造物を対象とし、求める効果にもよりますが、これらの接合部に引張り力基礎補強および免震工法基礎の補強（スライド75-76）や免震工法の事例（スライド77-79）もあります。補強事例：揚水場Interventions to strengthen the masonry wallsProf. Eng.
